			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>130 companies from Romania were nominated this year for one of the 41 trophies at Piaţa Awards 2011. Piaţa Magazine is a leader on the retail magazines market, positioning itself as a guide to the fast moving consumer goods’ universe.<br />
The annual Piata awards are already a tradition among specialists who work in the FMCG market. For the 2011 event, journalists and top management representatives of the nominated companies were present at the grand Marriott hotel in Bucharest.<br />
Heidi Chocolat was nominated and declared winner of the best new product trophy in the sweets and coffee category.<br />
“This trophy has a powerful meaning for us. We are proud that our newest range of chocolate tablets &#8211; Heidi Gourmette was voted best new product of 2011 by our clients in the modern retail.This motivates us even more to continue the development of new and innovative products for Romania and foreign markets”, declared Eugen Musat, Sales Manager of Heidi Chocolat.<br />
At the 6th edition of Piata Awards there were 500 nominations in different categories, for producers/ suppliers as well as retailers. The suppliers/producers chose the winning retailers and the retailers (modern and traditional trade) decided the winners among the producers.<br />
The members of the jury had a number of votes which corresponded to their market share and ISRA Center Marketing Research was the company hired to supervise the entire voting concept.<br />
Next to Heidi, at Piata Awards, renowned companies were among the winners of the night: Carrefour, Coca Cola, Procter &#038; Gamble, L’Oreal, Glaxo Smithkline.<br />

Heidi Chocolat is one of the most important premium produces of chocolate in Romania, its success surpassing  the borders of its home coutry. Today, its products are exported to more than 36 countries all over the world, on 6 continents.<br />
A unique and ambitious project, Heidi Chocoworld is like an Embassy for the Heidi brand, where premium chocolate lovers can find their favourite products and can also create their own favourite chocolate  recipe  together with our maîtres chocolatiers. </p>

<p>One of the main attributes of Chocoworld is to be an outlet store for the Heidi Factory in Pantelimon. The visitors of Heidi Chocoworld can buy here premium products at special prices, discounted  multi-packs and Silver Line chocolate with unbeatable prices.<br />
But it’s not all about sales in Heidi Chocoworld. The island inside the store is the house of the Research &#038; Development department, the very persons  that create the Heidi recipes. The visitors are invited to take part in a chocoseminar, where they can learn about the method of producing chocolate and the raw materials used and can even create their own chocolate recipe. For a small price, friends, families or colleagues can enroll in a chocoseminar after which they can take home their special chocolate creation.</p>
<p><strong>Heidi Chocoworld – a global place </strong></p>
<p>The consumers of Heidi chocolate all over the world are not forgotten in Heidi Chocoworld. They are just a click away from a chocolate webminar, they can still create their favourite chocolate and the Heidi team will send them their creations at home, using a fast delivery courier. The world just got smaller and more accessible for everyone.<br />
Heidi Chocoworld concept store will also have an important development function, everything the R&#038;D Departament creates in their special island, can be tasted and the feedback will be instant so that the Heidi marketing department can find out easily  which are the tastes that Heidi consumers enjoy the most.<br />
“We are proud to be the first ones in this part of the world that develops such an abitous project. Our flagship store will encourage chocolate lovers to create what they wish. We are not trying to impose our recipes, we let our consumers chose what they like. <p><strong>Heidi and its own Chocoworld </strong></p>
<p>Heidi Chocoworld was built in 2011 following an investment of over 250.000 euros. The flagship store has a suface of 169 square meters. In the shop one can find all Heidi ranges: tablets, pralines, bars and Silver Line, but also fresh truffles and other chocolate specialties that can only be found here.<br />
Moreover, in the island inside the shop, the Research &#038; Development department with the help pf Mr Jakob Hausmann, a well known Swiss chef and maître chocolatier create daily unique, fresh recipes. Anyone can become a chocolatier for the day whether during a seminar at the shop or during a webminar in front of the computer.<br />

<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p><strong>The chocolate manufacturer Heidi Chocolat, 100% owned by Swiss chocolatier Laederach and based in Romania, will continue to focus on growing exports in the year to come</strong><strong>. Despite the strong decline in chocolate consumption in Romania, Heidi’s net sales in 2010 rose by 15% in comparison to 2009, mainly due to a 160% increase in export sales versus the previous year. In 2011, Heidi plans to grow its product portfolio, build a flagship store in its homecountry Romania and interact online with its customers all over the globe.</strong></p>
<h3>A global vision</h3>
<p>2010 was a turning point for <strong>Heidi Chocolat</strong>. After the rebranding that was completed one year before, Heidi’s more actual, modern and trendy look and new developed recipes hit the world. The most remarkable new countries importing Heidi in 2010 were: USA, Canada, Netherlands, China, Korea, Australia and Greece. This year marked also Heidi’s first participation at <strong>SIAL</strong>, The Global Food marketplace in France in October 2010. The new recipes in Heidi’s vast portfolio of products include new <strong>Florentine</strong> tablet with caramelized almonds, new <strong>Gourmette</strong> range, chocolate tablet with pieces of fruit and also new recipes developed in the <strong>Dark</strong> Range (<strong>Dark Cranberry, Dark Mint &amp; Lemon</strong> and <strong>Dark Pear &amp; Almond</strong>). Great recipes for all tastes, modern packaging and look, seasonal hand-painted figurines helped Heidi export its chocolate to 28 countries at the end of 2010 and will further expand its presence all over the world in 2011.</p>

<p>As a premium chocolate manufacturer of Swiss tradition, <strong>Heidi</strong> knows that true success lies in its ability to market its innovative products to different clients and transform their specific requirements into a vast and diverse line of products. <p>With a unique taste and a special visual aspect, Heidi introduces a new concept in the Grand’Or line &#8211; <a href="#" target="_self">Florentine</a> – milk chocolate with a crispy layer of caramelized almonds. This product is based on a traditional Swiss recipe, being very much appreciated for the innovative combination of fine milk chocolate, crispy caramel and almond flakes.</p>
<p>As a completion of the variety and uniqueness offered by the ChocoVenture line, Heidi introduced <a href="#" target="_self">Cocoa &amp; Coffee</a>, a new milk chocolate assortment with pieces of cocoa and coffee. The natural ingredients (cocoa and coffee) offer a particular sensation, which, together with the special aroma of the Heidi chocolate, create a delicious and authentic taste of coffee with milk.</p>
<p>Together with these products, the Heidi Chocolat portfolio has reached a number of 42 standard products, without including the seasonal ones. The products will be available in store from March on and will also be included in the company’s export offer.</p>

The range includes two varieties: with fruits and natural ingredients.<br />
Heidi with fruits combines white, milk or dark chocolate with delicious pieces of fruit: pear, bananas, strawberry, lemon with mint and raspberry, treating the consumers with six different assortments. The new ChocoVenture range will be promoted throughout the entire year. The second variety of tablets combines classic chocolate recipes with surprising ingredients: pieces of hazelnuts, raisins, flakes, walnuts and honey.</p>
<p>At the same time, ChoceVenture brings new elements: Caramelized hazelnuts, unique on the market. The range also contains the only dark chocolate on the market with pieces of caramelized hazelnuts. The range includes the only white chocolate tablet with pieces of hazelnuts and flakes. ChocoVenture follows a unique Heidi recipe, combining milk chocolate with honey and walnuts.</p>
<p>The new ChocoVenture varieties are already in stores and are promoted through in-store and promotional tools.</p>
